Any new experiences on the Spark? If the rates are quite a bit less than a Hampton and if it's decent- then wouldn't mind staying in a Spark especially in the smaller cities. As for Hilton not converting older Hamptons to sparks - i dont think that is true. They wont just rebrand to a spark automatically- think that's what Hilton meant. The older Hampton would still have to undergo a renovation to the spark scheme.
It may have been true when it was first reported by a Hampton employee who posts here-forgive me whoever you are because I can't remember your screen name-but it isn't anymore. The Hampton Inn Bakersfield Central, which is being replaced by a new hotel being built two blocks away, is becoming a Spark.
