I suspect this is the issue -- BA don't want the Chase voucher used by any party other than the Chase cardholder, so the booking may well error out if the BAEC account profile does not sync with your Chase profile. It's an anti-fraud / theft thing as much as anything else, I reckon. Perhaps steel yourself to ring into BAEC and ask for a common-sense override.
