following up on the original question - a friend flying EI ROM/DUB/SFO (the 2nd leg in business) and i (flying ITA ROM/LCY in business) are hoping to visit lounges together before her flight - possibly the PP lounge - if i see her off on the EI flight after the PP lounge, how easy/difficult for me to get to my ITA flight and possibly their lounge?

Flights to London should depart T3, since it's non-Schengen. It might be listed as T1 since that's where the ITA checkin might be located, but it'll probably depart from somewhere in the lower numbered E gates (IIRC that's where UK-bound flights tend to be). To answer your question, though, it just depends. EI will also depart from T3, last time I did that it was from the mid-numbered E gates. You can make that walk and it isn't too bad. The Plaza Premium lounge in T3 is pretty good, and is certainly better than the other two T3 priority pass lounges.
