Unfortunately the airlines keep being strong-headed about this. I suggest everyone who had an issue with airline being dismissing of rebooking OAL, whether revenue or award, and especially people who airlines are dismissing as they are on awards, to put in complaints with LBU in Germany.
Google didn't help me much - can you please share more - what is LBU? I don't have a lot of bandwidth, but I do want to follow up on this. I'm on a 3 step J routing thanks to a lovely agent at UA who made a bit of magic happen, but that's not an appropriate replacement for F, especially when there were plenty of F alternatives available.
