To close the loop on my situation, it turns out they do NOT approve these cards if you are not SUB-eligible. P2 got her business card back in October and we did the appropriate spending + SUB posted last in January. Applied for personal on 12/16/23 and never heard anything - or so I thought. Got busy, didn't think about it and called Chase this week to find out what happened. Since it's >30 days they have no record of it at all. So, we applied again with the intention of calling Recon right away. Applied yesterday, and got an email that said "your request was not approved." Finally, found where/which sign-in they posted the letter to (and found one from December as well) saying:



So - having said all of that, not sure how to proceed. I do not see credit pulls for either 12/16 or 2/7 apps - P2 has no 5/24 concerns anyway. What would you do at this point? Just go for a different business product? As I mentioned upthread, the last bonus she got on a personal card was 50k + 50K on 2/20/22 & 4/20/22 so I'm not sure which date they would even allow for a new personal card.
