Elevated to GGL status back in January. My online status change seemed to happen instantaneously on Tier points passing through 5000. In fact departed PHL on AA as Gold with just under 5000 tier points and by the time I landed in DUB the tier points for that flight had posted and my status within the BA app and through the full browser login had already changed to GGL (with the membership home page reverting back to the old design format). Also an email inviting me to nominate status to others was already sitting in my Inbox.
Since then I haven't received anything from BA in the post or email in terms of a new physical card, welcome letter/email or anything else. The GGL benefits section within the BA website is vague to say the least. The detailed synopsis of GGL at the start of this thread provides far more detail so very thankful for that. I rightly or wrongly assumed a physical GGL card would arrive in the post but 4 weeks later nothing. I'm I expected to contact BAEC if I want a physical GGL card? Don't BAEC send anything out in the post or by email regarding GGL or are status holders expected to glean information from the likes of this thread and the bear basics within the BA website?
You should receive a physical card, luggage tags, and a welcome letter, give the GGL line a call.
