I think it's the actual airline operating the flight that is the issue.if you use the Avios calculator and enter Aer Lingus as the airline flying, you will see the result i gave above. So if that says zero thats what i would expect. Aer Lingus is supposed to start awarding TP in addition to Avios at some point as it will be joining OW and is part of the transatlantic joint venture as you can now redeem BA Amex credit card companion vouchers on Aer Lingus. But until the Avios calculator is updated, I would not bank on earning TP on Aer Lingus operated flights even on a code share ticket. As ever YMMV.
