As for the Lufthansa product I did fly that in J not such a long time ago, and found it reasonably comfortable for what it presents itself to be. Certainly head and shoulders above the J on EK’s sizeable 777 fleet, which has it’s cosy middle seats that are also angled. Almost reminds me of UA J in the 1990s but with more glossy bling.
I can’t give a lot more reference for J as I usually try to find flights that still offer F (which I very much like on both LH and EK, even more on JL which I recently took, but to a lesser degree LX and BA which are still good). Maybe it’s time I give UA another chance if their J is above average, and so many carriers have pulled or are pulling F away. The Polaris lounge dining concept sounds like it’s a notch above a typical J experience, so that’s something to sample as well.
