The period of time you have to dispute a charge runs from the time it appears on your statement, not from when it posts to your account. (Not everyone checks their credit-card charges on a daily basis; in fact, not everyone opts for online access to their accounts.)
Suggest that you familiarize yourself with your rights when disputing an incorrect or fraudulent credit-card charge.
