Sometimes for business trips the credit is better or if it’s a solo personal trip. Makes me mad we that the credit isn’t applied correctly a lot.

You’re forgetting a lot of diamonds in the US have the status via credit card, so it’s not like they can stay 30 stays a year for top credit like earned diamonds so this benefit is better than they’ll get at the competition.

Hilton should off there choice between breakfast or the credit for people who have the diamond requirements in stays and lifetime diamonds.

When I reviewed the updated folio the next day, however, I found that only one $15 credit had been applied despite reservation for 2 adults and 1 child. I messaged hotel again, and second agent claimed that I was only eligible for one credit because I hadn't added second guest's name to the reservation. I explained that I've never been required to add a name so long as the reservation was for two or more guests. Nor does Hilton corporate make any such stipulation. Agent responded "that is our policy at this location" and suggested I call the manager. When I asked for manager's number, she responded again that it was all taken care of. All of this back-and-forth for a few overpriced items from the grab-and-go.
Had that issue this morning at Palmer House in Chicago. I always do a front desk checkout at hotels where my corporate rate is suppose to waive the resort and urban fees since properties charge it a lot anyway, including this one.

I checked out at front desk and ask for total and it was $18 more than my email said. Urban fee is $25 so it it wasnt that. They only gave me $18 credit for the F^B credit even though it was booked for two people and I always put a second name on the reservation. Front desk a confirmed I was to get a $36 credit at check in. I just bought $33 dollars worth of stuff at the store including a lattee and tipped enough to round it up to $36 exactly.

Something else I wish they would do is waive the fridge fee if the restaurants arent all open.

There’s a burger place at Palmer house I love and they’ve been closed the last few visits on weekends and the only restaurant only has a couple expensive sandwich choices. Not a big deal, since I don’t mind the store and eating elsewhere in chicago and my corporate code waived the urban fee, but last night I really wanted to buy some fruit and Diet Coke for later after the store was closed and no way to keep it cold and was told there was a fee for a fridge.
