Is there a way around paying this fee based on the UA fare? Apart from having one checked bad for free, advanced seat selection for free was a big draw to select a regular economy fare, and now this is not honored.
Note that the rest of the itinerary is on UA metal and I could select seats in advance for free. Thanks!
WHat makes you think the SN flight should have free seat selection. UA offers that on their operated flights but seat fees are based on the operating carrier and not included in the ticket.
