Are there any update for 2024?

In particular I am interested in Dubai and Abu Dhabi transit. On international arrival if I don't leave the airport do I need to clear any immigration when transiting? I expect a security check in both airports. Do they collect any biometric data? If there is biometric boarding in Dubai, can you opt out of it?
