Never been to Reynolds Plantation but I know of the perfect place for you right outside of Savannah. The Inn at Plametto Bluff. Its an Auberge Resort and it has everything you want. Golf, spa, and amazing surroundings on the May River. Service is wonderful and food and wine is really good. Also make sure to eat in Savannah at Elizabeths on 37th Street. The cottage suites are worth the extra money.This is where you want to be in the Low Country!
