Can one ‘overuse’ the 24h cooling off window?

So I think I’m correct in saying that a flight only fare booked on BA.com can be cancelled with a phone call, for a full refund, within 24h?

Would one expect any pushback if say you booked 24 flights (6 pax per booking to 4 different destinations) but then cancelled them all?

Why on earth you may ask?

Football. And the Europa league in particular is the answer.

Next Thursday evening I will know the 8 possible opponents for my team but the draw won’t be made until Friday morning. In the last round prices rocketed super fast. An example was a return to ATH increased from £160 to over £800 in a couple of hours.

I should add that of those 8 teams, I’ll likely only be interested in going to 5, so I’d book them all and cancel all bar the one we get drawn against or all of them if the draw sees us at a place we can’t get to.
