The 737s have two cabin temperature sensors and one in the cockpit. They are in above the seats/below the overhead bins. I can read the temperature at those three locations. I can also see the duct temperature for the forward duct and aft duct and the output temperatures of the two packs.. All of this is displayed on a single gauge through a rotary selector that is calibrated in Celsius.
The problem is that while I can get a consistent temperature on the gauge but the F/As and passengers feel inconsistent temperatures. I usually shoot for 22°C but that doesn't produce consistent results.
Most people won't speak up when they are uncomfortable so I don't know that there is a problem. Please tell an F/A and ask them to pass the request up to us so we can fix it. Ask again if it hasn't improved after 10 minutes.
