One isolated incident, although very regrettable does not speak for entire hotel -- how is the hotel otherwise? Service?
Hope rest was better!
Just had breakfast. Multiple service hiccups including taking away trays of unfinished food and ignoring my shrimp allergy and putting it in my omelet. Most of the staff were young and inexperienced, some quite arrogant.
Check-in was unpleasant too. Lobby and the (small) check-in counter was a crowded mess. Felt awkward and unpolished. A midrange five star hotel like the Shangri-La would do better.
Checked out the locker room facilities, there is no Jacuzzi which was quite shocking for a new-build hotel! The sauna was the smallest one I’ve been in my life and locker rooms very cramped and ill-designed.
The hotel attracts two very specific type of people- staycationers with very young children. Literally felt like an all inclusive family resort. The other type is influencers who aren’t even guests but take selfies in restaurants. FS Hangzhou is worlds apart. Don’t come here
