My husband drops me off on the 4th floor (terminal direct) at SEA for all my flights, thereby avoiding the crowded lanes at both arrivals and departures. We would go down the aisle just past the blue benches and I would enter the terminal right in front of the Clear line at checkpoint 4. (from curb to gate in less than 4 minutes most days) My husband would exit the garage without having to pay as he was there less than 15 minutes. It was a win-win for us. Sadly, that will no longer be the case. The fourth floor will be reserved ONLY for reserved parking (accessed by QR code) @ $47/day with a 2 day minimum. With the notoriously often broken or non-functioning elevators and escalators that only go from 3-4 and 4-3 that makes parking at the garage incredibly time consuming. (we have waited 10-20 minutes for an elevator at the north bank, which is why we started using the 4th floor for picking me up after a return flight home. Prior to that I was using LYFT or UBER, but it always took 20 minutes of waiting after arriving at the pickup spot at SEA. (now arriving in 2 minutes - update, now arriving in 7 minutes - update again, now arriving in 4 minutes, etc.) Not at all happy or thrilled about this now. Add in the massive construction ongoing for another full year it just makes arrivals and departures utter chaos and fully irritating.
