I fear this is too short after hearing from others there are 5 hr delays on tarmac at seattle for every flight, flights itsself says an hr but ive seen 1.5 hr flight so thats alread an issue. Ive been told most often you have to take train from one end of terminal to other which takes 30mins , plus boarding being half hr before takeoff.... that leaves 7 mins by my math to get off plane from spokane and be at gate to depart.
delta said its totally enough time and never have delays on tarmac ... and theyd move you next flight if you missed it anyway... next flight is the next day even though this is a morning flight.
So I just want to know.. are people telling me right about seatac itself and taking forever to get across or is delta correct that's its enough time?
ok. Yeah I was being told that every flight, no matter if same airline to airline or not, was you'd arrive at 1 terminal and have to take train to other side.
I've only flown 1 time so I'm still learning but I had flown through SLC with hr layover and was fine because everything was a straight shot. But again , they said it was long delays and they would change gates multiple times and park far from each. I'm scared to chose that and be stranded because it would cut into reservations since the next delta flight out is next day. They have the delta connections but those are extremly small dangerous planes that dont take carry ons, and im not checking a bag that will get lost amd have no clothes. Were heading to disneyland. We would lose entire da at park if delta delayed us and we missed plane.
flight leaves spokane at 530am , hits seattle at 630.atve heard morning flights don't usually delay but seattle apparently you just expect to sit there for 5 hours. And I highly doubt delta would pay to get me on aither airline after the screw up. I just wish there was better options . The only other viable option is a layover in SLC but it's pricier. The last flight of day is more affordable but again.. the high possibility of delay or cancel that late at night destroys entire vacation. The earlier flight is now $600 a person! I can't afford that.
