IB is willing to sell 4 J seats on the later flights, so I think you ought to be fine. Just insist upon flying on one of the later flights (which are better for sleeping anyhow).
FWIW, IB is still willing to sell 3 J seats on your flight, so I find it hard to believe that you will actually be bumped. It would make far more sense to bump a solo passenger.
It also should be cheaper for IB to pay the delay compensation than the downgrade compensation, so you hopefully won't get too much pushback about everybody taking a later flight in J together.
