As a follow up question, with a 12 layover it might be best to get a landside hotel, especially as a contingency if there are issues with the early check-in.

Would taking the landside train to Terminal 3 (at 1am or so) and staying at the Crowne Plaza be the easiest option, even with the possibility of a cartful of luggage? The alternative would be to just collect the bags from the JL flight, take a taxi to a nearby hotel, and do the Scoot check-in later in the morning.
