I don't know if they've fixed this annoyance, but the last time I flew an A380 (2018, in J) they would drop those irritating, noisy, cheap-looking plastic dividers during take-off and landing. I've done that flight alone and it's annoying having someone one doesn't know almost staring face-to-face.
that is not a fault i am afraid, it is a feature of CW on the A380 and has been ever since the aircraft came in to service with BA.
