On several occasions I've asked several HAL agents why do I have to scan my BP, and usually got one of these three answers:
1. It's for marketing
2. It's for internal statistics and the info panels that shows how busy each security is (even though it wasn't working)
3. It's for BA to know where the PAX is
Looks like even the HAL agents have no idea
