To respond to your questions:
- Yes, you can make the change at 12:01am (I have done so many times), but not the day before.
- You can make multiple changes as your plans change (but see note from
Kiwi Flyer above on occasional glitches)
- Can have non-AirNZ ff# in the booking
- You can take a later (or earlier) flight, but you need availability on those flights otherwise you are 'stuck' with the original booking.
- Availability can change through out the day of course.
