Went this AM. The club is at gate E11, not E7 as posted here earlier.
- Unscientific sample ... everyone I could see checking in before me was Reserve card holders. 3/4 of which paid for guests.
- This made the check-in process very slow.
- Food was better at breakfast than SkyClub by a small margin. Nice juice blends and croissants.
- Staff was very pleasant but at times seemed looking for things to do. Heard at least 3 dropped/broken plates in 20 minutes and all by staff members during cleanup.
- Overall hard product is outstanding except for Restrooms which are too small for the capacity. Positioning the entrance to the restrooms between the main food buffet lines will make for a crowded area, much like the restroom entrance around the main bar in F SkyClub.
- No to-go items at all. No bags of pretzels, wrapped granola bars, or paper cups with lids for coffee.
- Outdoor spaces are outstanding. Only rivaled by the new LAX SkyClub.
Suggestions and Predictions:
- AMEX, please make an expedited check-in line for people not paying for guests.
- DL SkyClub will begin some special "chef" offerings for E because they are paying AMEX when a Reserve Card Holder goes to Centurion. This is based on information I heard in a Delta earnings call a few years ago.
- This club will now become the default for families paying for guests under age 18 since AMEX charges them less than SkyClub. Saw evidence of that in line today already.
- I will choose this over E Sky Club next time as long as the check-in line is not 10 people deep.
