I’ll say this as a public service announcement for others. I’ve said it before but it’s been a few months so let me say it again.

I don’t think compensation is an easy path to pursue. But the three times over the last year and a half that I have had a day of departure switch to the NEV4 aircraft, I have had almost zero pushback calling in and getting rerouted on an aircraft with lie flat. Granted, you have to have some flexibility in your schedule to do this, but I think they know. Two out of the three flights were done with no Air France status at all (was flying as a DL Diamond, but that doesn’t mean much to reservations dept).

Be proactive. Look at your flight starting 24 hours out and call in with an alternate request as soon as you see one of the two dreaded frames.
