I had to fight this one time at the Hotel Chicago Autograph Collection. Hotel added a $15 nightly "destination fee" which was never disclosed to me prior to my stay. I ended up speaking to the manager about it and telling them they have to honor my original rate that was booked, as I kept the original email. The GM ended up waiving the fee and we still got the free drink coupon that it came with for the hassle.
