yep - technically - by the way the 'rules' if you will, are written, you are no longer eligible to receive the comp upgrade once you're boarded. but many of us, me included have seen passengers processed after boarding, where they do indeed move people. gate agents have quite a lot of discretion and this is sometimes a positive, but sometimes not.
