Account has been opened for a month now--how long does it take on new accounts to get the engagement bonus?
Updating everyone here:
I received the $695 engagement bonus on February 14th.
For clarity, these are my dates:
- December 2022: Opened AAA, opened MS Platinum
- December 2023: Opened CashPlus
- January 2024: AF posted for MS Platinum
- February 2024: Engagement bonus posted
I was a bit confused when my engagement bonus would post, as I knew it could take 60+ days after account opening, but if my bonus didn't post until then, well then my engagement bonus wouldn't really be timed very well with my AF renewal, which I think defeats the purpose (you'd imagine MS would want to reimburse as close to my Amex AF date as possible, so the correlation is there).
I also had a weird worry that since I opened the CashPlus a year later than most would (I'd imagine most would want it opened ASAP, even before app'ing the card) that there might be a weird disconnect there that I was going to contact MS about, but I'm glad it worked out.
