As I understand it, all of the B772 will be the same cabin with BEST layout. I would prefer the August 28th date that has the B777-300, but am worried I might get stuck with one of the remaining NEV4 seats. I can't quite tell from the Wiki if the last of the NEV4 planes have been retrofitted. If they have all been completed and there is no chance of getting NEV4'ed, is there a chance that this plane has the new retrofit with the privacy doors? Am I taking a gamble with the B777-300 in possibly getting a less comfortable seat as on the old a359s, or is there any version of the B777-300 with better seats and/or privacy doors than the B772?
Thanks!
If the 777-300 has La Premiere, it has BEST (1-2-1 lie-flat without doors), at least for the time being.
There are still 2 NEV4 planes flying. There are presently three non-NEV4 777-300 configs:
* 4P: has La Premiere with BEST
* Leisure: has only 14 J seats (same seats as on the old A350 and UA Polaris)... Rarely if ever flies to North America (does fly to the Caribbean)
* 48J: has reverse herringbone with doors (subtly different from new A350)
Any flight with AF is to some extent a gamble around airplane changes. 4P is pretty safe from such changes (unless DoD from CDG sees that a turn had zero La Premiere sales). A359s get swapped for various 777 flavors all the time and even A330s with a 2-2-2 lie-flat config can get into the mix.
