The whole point of the "before 6am" rule is to provide lounge access the calendar day before in instances where you may have a very late evening (really earning morning) departure. So if you are departing LAX at say 1am flying LAX-HKG it's of course no problem to use the lounge at 11pm the calendar day before.

You've been amazing, JJeffrey! Not sure if this has been addressed, but playing around with Google Flights, I see another variant of my itinerary, but now with a next-day 6 AM (exact) flight out of LAX. Will I have QF F access?
