You'd need $76k in spending on a card, it's only 11x for flights. For the statements that cross the Feb/March boundary they'll post to the month the charge posted in.
My statement just closed and I purchased 3 flights as a PP with my Silver AA card. Will fly 1 leg before the end of the month but the others are future tix. I got a simple loyalty point for the purchases but was hoping the “extras” counted as loyalty points. Needed to say I was disappointed to see only 8K+ loyalty points posted today but got 21K miles.
