Incorrect. The GGL team have said for a long time that this is being looked at, and recently numerous people have reported the premium services team in the CCR mentioning something was in the works.

In fact, from the relatively large number of GGLs I have contact with, it seems like this invite for next week has been aimed at those who hit or exceed the 5K marker* (or are well on their way to doing so), and so my guess is that this will be part of that announcement on the day.

*Of course there are always exceptions with these events. As has been mentioned it's not an "all-GGL" thing. But that's the pattern I've seen in those who got invites vs those who didn't.
