My question is, seeing as I’ve experience it already a bunch of times and I want him to be comfortable and feel the same: can I swap our seats when we board?
Like, for the whole flight of course. Just have him go in my business class seat and me in his premium economy. It’s an AC 787 if matters.
If so: how do I do it? We wouldn’t board at the same time, and agent would check the names. But flight crew wouldn’t, or I assume wouldn’t care if we never swapped again after (I presume)..
Thoughts? Really want him to be comfortable for this flight.
It’s very simple. I do it all the time with my wife. Board at the same time and just switch seats. Your father takes your seat and you go to his. Another option would be to last min upgrade your father. It should be around $1500 to 2k, which is a lot cheaper than the10k booking fee.
