One of three passengers skipping last leg

Hi

I wonder if anyone can help me with a query. I have booked a return trip for 4 people from Belfast to New York via LHR with BA. All 4 passengers are booked by me with my executive account and on the same booking number. I have now been asked to work in Birmingham on the day I return to the UK. As it stands this means I fly JFK to LHR to BHD just to jump back on a flight to Birmingham. This seems a little daft. I called BA and got a very confused call handler who went away for a bit and then said it would cost me around £360 to drop the last flight for just me. This is despite the booking price being only being slightly higher than the original price online.

If I were to check my bag in under my wife and just take my hand luggage and skip the last leg to Belfast would there be any repercussions to the other passengers who would be continuing to Belfast or to my executive account?

Thanks
