Bumping this...I just discovered the Turkish lounge while on a return flight from MIA and recommend it as a nice option if you have *G status. As others have noted, the food is decidedly mediocre (aside from the egg salad sandwich, which was really good), but it has nice seating and wasn't overly crowded at ~11AM.
EDIT: This was on a "Cruise Sunday". No wait to get in, but the Delta SkyClub had a line 25+ deep down the concourse!
I know the lounge you visited. There is a second Turkish lounge—a little cozier—in the heart of AA-ville. If you have time and access, I’d also visit the Centurion Lounge. They sometimes have a chef making omelettes to order.
It’s a surprise to me that United doesn’t have a lounge at MIA. With AA being so dominant, United doesn’t seem interested in MIA.
