Looked up the rules for the ticket and they stated " 3 STOPOVERS PERMITTED ON THE PRICING UNIT LIMITED TO 1 FREE AND 2 AT USD 50.00 EACH."

So fingers crossed that this works out or that I miss that tight 50-minute connection; I'll try to go all carry-on. It's all booked on the same locator.
I did changes like this all the time when flying on a government fare.
