I'll be sure to do so going forward, just to avoid any potential hassle. But it's really quite silly that Hilton bothers to differentiate between one and two guests, especially since the credit amounts are so paltry. With the push toward digital key, it's obvious Hilton would prefer that guests never interact with front desk staff, which means there's no way to verify that the second guest is real. So just cut the nonsense and provide the full credit amount every time.
