Not the same situation, since HKG has security before all gates, not individual ones.

This aspect is a major failure of SIN and KUL (and AMS back in the day). Not that Malaysian tap water should be consumed, but it was terrible planning for both.

On that note, I have seen some SIN gates with water fountains. The inconsistency is the salt in the wound.
