I had a similar issue using a PA EzPass with a car rental in NJ. Apparently, while both states accept EzPass, their systems don’t seem to talk to each other. I was told registering a PA EzPass transponder on a vehicle in NJ won’t work because it I would need to done from my NJ EzPass account - which I don’t have.

Anyone have a workaround or evidence to the contrary between PA and NJ?
