If your main purpose of upgrading Y to J solely to use the QR lounge in SIN - there’s no need to. The QF F lounge accessible as OWE has, in my view, slightly better food and innovative cocktails. Both QR and QF F lounges are in the same terminal T1, whereas MH departs from T2 - so do allow some time to travel via sky train between terminals.
