I recently had a stay in an Emerald Studio Suite (pictures as per above so won’t repost). I wouldn’t rush back …

While the hardware of the hotel is very nice and the staff very accommodating, the overall service is incredibly (and I am fairly patient) slow. The restaurant / kitchen area seems quite chaotic where there are a good number of staff, but producing any food or drinks takes an unreasonably long time (and it doesn’t seem to matter if there are few or many customers). This seemed to frustrate many people during my stay, although the eventual food was tasty / good quality.

Sound insulation as between rooms is not the best. There are really zero views (and a construction site opposite), the pool area is nice but small, and the beds are very firm.

The elite hour drinks are quite good, the snacks were odd (custard bread?!). The elite laundry benefit is a nice touch (2 pieces per day).

Given the above reviews I was quite excited to try this new property, but if I wanted to be roughly in this area of town, I’d probably go for the more “full service” Marriott Marquis or IHG, which are usually less expensive also.
