I read the reviews, and just completed a stay there. I thought it was nice, though I do agree that there are parts that are a bit weird and I think in general, it's still an NY hotel, which means there are service limitations. My sense is that the place realized it had a rough start and is now moving hard to correct some of the dips (Mr. Lordonnois was active throughout in interacting with guests, etc, which was impressive). But the rooms were excellent (at least mine was) and I did love how quiet the place was compared to other NY hotels where access is more open. And I do think they can kill the jazz club which was dire (though service really nice).
How was breakfast and where do they serve it?
