As you know, what you're told and what actually happens can be two very different things; so an update...

LX efficient as usual but disinterested in OW status at check-in; FF info entered efficiently.

IB lounge had received a directive from Jaime Rae (Head of UK Operations) stating that no pax travelling on the BA/LX CS should be admitted until BA agreed to reciprocity over fees for lounge usage (fair enough methinks, though the door dragon was deeply unpleasant).

Serviceair lounge at LHR T2: checked boarding pass, checked OW status; no problem (though a pretty grim lounge).

BA at GVA: Lounge dragon said no way, but did offer to walk us to the LX lounge where (sensibly) the LX lounge dragon also said no way.

Fast forward to access to the BA lounge at GVA, eventually, and reluctantly, granted by the duty manager in view of a complete absence of hard and fast directive from ops in London.

By the way, I gather LX is to become a fully-fledged OW member on 1 Apr 2004 (no significance in the date, I'm assured).
