I am in the camp that values free breakfast. At the same time, I respect those folks who don't value it. I think the make up of your traveling group (individual, couples, families with small children, etc.) as well as the purpose of the trip (business, leisure visiting family, vacation), etc.) are all factors in if folks value free breakfast and on which trips. For me, I value free breakfast for business trips for convenience and conserving expense budget. For leisure trips visiting family, we also value free breakfast for convenience and conserving travel budget. For vacation, while we still value free breakfast and will take it advantage of it, we are more likely to try other local breakfast options some of the time as part of the vacation experience. Each to their own.....
