Not sure if this is the proper place or not but sharing a not so great recent experience at the Sarasota-Lakewood Ranch EVEN. Hotel is a converted Holiday Inn that was renovated/rebranded in 2018 so it is certainly showing wear. Overall the brand seems to have moved away from its wellness centric roots with lacking cleanliness and upkeep. No nightly tea service mentioned above; the Cork & Kale concept seems to have been killed and the menu was definitely much more towards comfort food indulgences than healthy, plant-based options but I did not dine nor would I have high expectations of anything from a limited service IHG dining offering. Did not see the fresh OJ machine. Room had significant noise from inside and out; bathrooms did not appear to have exhaust fans leading to concerns about mold & overall cleanliness. Gym is large but equipment was not in good upkeep. Couldn't get TV to work on either Cybex Arc trainer but they do leave out several fruit infused waters available throughout the day which is a nice touch. Was disappointed staying on an expiring IHG Select card award, would be livid if I paid the $250+ pre-tax this place was going for the night of my stay. Overall the location was convenient to late night arrival from SRQ airport and is near the UTC mall, Whole Foods, Kelly's Roast Beef (anyone else from BOS interested), Benderson Park, and LECOM.
