A little OT. And, albeit a long time ago, I have landed at JFK on a snow covered runway on Concorde, which was interesting!!!
Methinks if they can, they will go for it (with a decent safety margin of course). In any event, BA has loads of options to reroute you (though might not help your 17:30 meeting).
