I agree with your analysis Al B. I guess I am one of those passengers that does a lot of local short-haul flying within British Columbia for work, as opposed to one or two long-haul flights overseas. Many of the flights I booked in 2004 were for the YVR-YXS route and were relatively expensive given the distance concerned. I have remained faithful to AC when Westjet in particular offer more competitive flights on better metal. Somehow it doesn't seem fair that AC at the end of the year turn around and effectively spilt the Prestige level into two tiers. It is not the actual "packages" that bugs me, more the principle of announcing the 25k threshold in January 2005!
