After successfully avoiding this airplane for a long time, I finally had to fly it due to a last minute equipment change from a 787 (lost my pod which added insult to injury). I found the J seats extremely uncomfortable with zero padding in the lumbar area. In fact, in the fully reclined position I could feel a piece of metal jabbing my lower back. Since my sample size is limited to only one occasion, I'm just wondering whether I got unlucky with a faulty seat or whether all the J seats are this uncomfortable.
