So, if you are accustomed to Oneworld like me (where there's no doubt at all - you can even choose your preferred OWS/E lounge) it's really annoying having to do research before booking a *A flight. The problem may not be all that widespread, but it's still there...
Got it thanks (and we are obviously used to OW as well). That said, it's probably a manageable trade off for us. Our current patterns seem to have us flying out of Star Alliance hubs intra-Europe more often than not, so most of those aren't 3rd party lounges and then when we fly out of smaller airports (e.g. Krakow, Porto, etc.) we've been finding there is usually a Priority Pass lounge we can use (often its even the same one Star Alliance has contracted with for their J customers).

To be honest, I probably should just get the UA Business Club card and be done with it. I'd likely spend less just carrying that then we'll spend on pursuing a status match, but there are a couple *G benefits that we'd find useful as well (e.g. we were in a long line for security at Krakow Airport recently but they had a *G "Fast Track" line that would have gotten us through much quicker!)

I'm just not sure I'm wired with the patience to deal with TK and with this devaluation I'm even less likely willing to do so...
