The huge advantage of Mabuhay Miles that I have found is that ... there are seats available to redeem! I have done business class return Manila - Sydney a few times - the ability to redeem is a huge plus. So many schemes "seem" good until you actually try. And for what it's worth, I have redeemed online numerous times without issue.
